We’re incredibly pleased to see Manchester BU 2026 sell out so quickly, and it’s a huge milestone for us as our events continue to grow. We’re absolutely thrilled to share that Brighton Backyard Ultra 2026 has sold 70% of its tickets within just 24 hours. This is a huge milestone for us and a powerful reminder of how much our community is growing.

The Backyard Ultra was created by Gary Cantrell, better known by his nickname Lazarus Lake or simply Laz. He’s the same mastermind behind the infamous Barkley Marathons.

No, it’s not based on Laz’s backyard size! The distance is precisely calculated so that if a runner completes 24 loops in 24 hours, they’ll have run exactly 100 miles.
