We’re absolutely blown away to share that our brand new event, Wirral Backyard Ultra 2026, sold out in a single weekend! We only announced this event just three weeks ago, so this is a huge milestone for us and an incredible statement of how our Backyard community continues to grow.

Thank you to everyone who signed up, supported, shared, and believed in what we’re building. The enthusiasm and trust you’ve shown, especially for a brand new event, means everything to us and drives every decision we make!

We were pleased to see 70% of Brighton Backyard Ultra 2026 tickets snapped up in just one week – and we’re even more pleased to now share that the event has officially sold out before the end of the year!

This is a huge milestone for us and a powerful reminder of how much our community continues to grow.

Manchester Backyard Ultra 2026 Sold Out in Under 10 Days

  • The Backyard Ultra was created by Gary Cantrell, better known by his nickname Lazarus Lake or simply Laz. He’s the same mastermind behind the infamous Barkley Marathons.

  • No, it’s not based on Laz’s backyard size! The distance is precisely calculated so that if a runner completes 24 loops in 24 hours, they’ll have run exactly 100 miles.
